Privacy and your data

Next is a tool for Roblox groups and schools. It stores the information needed to run your account and your group, and nothing is used for advertising, profiling or tracking. We do not sell data, and the site loads no analytics, advertising or social media scripts. Fonts and icons are served by Next itself. The only exception is a profile picture you choose to take from Google or Roblox, which your browser then loads from them.

Next is for people aged 13 and over. If you are younger, please do not create an account.

What we store

Your account

• Email address, username, display name and a bio, if you add one.
• A scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We cannot read your password.
• Your avatar choice. If you upload a picture, a small resized copy is stored.
• Your theme and email notification choices.

Connected accounts

• If you verify Roblox: your Roblox username and numeric ID. The check reads the public About text of your Roblox profile and does not need your Roblox password.
• If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, name and profile picture address. If you sign in with Roblox: your Roblox ID and username.

Your activity

• Your group, your rank, and the notices, calendar events and sessions your group publishes.
• Tickets, bug reports, reports and replies you write, and applications you send with your answers.
• A moderation record when staff warn, suspend or ban an account, including the reason and who issued it.
• The time of your last sign in, and a short log of staff actions on the platform (the audit log).

Why

To let you sign in, to show your group who is on its roster, to run support and moderation, and to send the emails described below. That is all.

Emails

Next sends emails only for: verifying your address, resetting your password, telling you a password was changed, account warnings and restrictions, and, unless you switch them off in Settings, replies to your posts and decisions on your applications. Emails go out through the mail provider chosen by the site operator, which handles them only to deliver them.

How long

Your data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, applications and moderation record are removed. If you own a group, the group is removed with it. Entries in the audit log that mention actions by staff may remain. Copies in backups kept by the hosting provider are overwritten over time.

Who can see it

• Everyone in your group can see your display name, username, avatar, rank, Roblox username and bio.
• Staff of your group can also see whether your email and Roblox account are verified, when you joined, and the outline of any platform moderation (the type and date, not the reason).
• Next moderators and administrators can see your account details, including your email address, your posts, reports and moderation history.
• The public can see only what a partnered group chooses to publish on its page: its staff list with display names, ranks, avatars and Roblox usernames, plus its description, sessions, open positions and links. Bug forum posts are visible to every signed in member.

Cookies and device storage

Next uses only what it needs to work, so there is nothing to opt out of:

• sid: a sign in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 7 days. It is not readable by scripts and is removed when you sign out.
• oa: a temporary cookie that exists for up to 10 minutes while you sign in with Google or Roblox.
• Local storage on your device: your theme, accent colour, layout choices and whether you dismissed the storage notice. These never leave your device unless noted in Settings.

Your choices

• See and correct your details on the Profile page.
• Download a copy of your data from Settings. It arrives as a JSON file.
• Delete your account from Settings at any time.
• Choose your emails in Settings. Security emails cannot be switched off.

Terms of use

Using Next

• You must be 13 or older, and the details you give must be true.
• You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. Tell an administrator straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• One person, one account. Do not share accounts or create extra ones to avoid a restriction.

Behaving well

• Be kind. No harassment, hate, threats, bullying or sexual content.
• Never ask other people for private information such as their real name, address, school, phone number or photos, and never share your own.
• Keep conversations on Next. Do not try to move people to other apps or sites.
• No spam, scams, impersonation, cheating, or trying to break or overload the service.

Content and moderation

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it you allow Next to store and show it to the people described above. Staff may review content and remove it if it breaks these rules. Depending on how serious it is, an account can receive a warning, a temporary suspension or a permanent ban. You can always see the history and the reason on your account status page, and you can contact the administrator to appeal.

Groups

Group owners and staff are responsible for how they run their group, including the ranks they give and the people they accept. Next may change or remove a group that breaks these rules.

Next is an independent service. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Roblox Corporation. Roblox is a trademark of Roblox Corporation.

The service

We work to keep Next running and accurate, but it is provided as it is, and it may change, pause for maintenance or stop. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for losses that come from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law. We may update these policies, and the date at the top changes when we do.
